Zambia Prayer Requests
I want to share a few things that are on my heart for our Zambia trip. Thank you for your prayers and support for the team while we're doing the Lord's work.
•The Lord keeps taking me to the loaves and fishes story. Pray that he can multiple whatever loaves and fishes he challenges us with.
•It is the rainy season. Pray for sunny days.
•I've been led to ask God for a hedge of angelic protection around my team, especially on March 14th as they rebuild some homes on the compound. Pray that jealousy does not rise up amongst those we are not able to help. I sense this as an urgent need. I believe if we pray, we will not see the battle that is fought.
•Ask the Lord to quiet all demonic forces and that the students do not see anything that they cannot handle and that anything they do see increases their faith.
•Ask for God to show himself to us through signs and wonders.
On March 15th, I'll be separated from the team. My work is not on the prayer itinerary. I'll be training 20 new volunteers to take the Pure Freedom Zambia curriculum into government schools. Two of them are from a region we do not work in and will be taking the curriculum to the capital city of Lusaka. Pray for me on that day.
The rest of the team will be working hard between Saturday and Tuesday, preparing many of our own meals including boiling our milk for the next day's breakfast. It is fresh from the cow! Our work will include rebuilding five mud huts for widowed women caring for several children, going into 18 schools to share the gospel and the power of abstinence, doing some simple building at the Pure Freedom piggery. Pray that we are bold to share God's love.
We'll begin our journey home on March 19. We'll be up at 4:30 to catch our flight out of Ndola which departs at 9:30 for South Africa. We have an eight hour layover in the Johannesburg airport before departing for JFK. We'll arrive at JFK early in the morning of March 20 and will arrive back home in State College about 2:30 p.m.
